It is a 17th century temple that is famous for thousands of granite columns. It is a pilgrimage spot and has 22 wells that are sacred. It is famous for its unique architecture, the gate tower which is 54 metre tall and is also a religious icon. A little away from the temple, Agniteertham is waterfront in which Lord Ram bathed to remove his sins.
This place has the foot print of the God Ram. This temple is the highest point in this town and thus, you can have a spectacular view of the whole island and sea from here.
It is the starting place of Adam’s bridge or the floating bridge. You can take boat rides to see the immersed bridge. A lot of other water related activities can be found here. Most of Dhanushkodi was destroyed by cyclone and what remains today is just a one km stripe of land.
